What Is Developer Mainnet?

This phase is expected to continue until mid-February, at which point Movement Network will transition to its next stage.

Developer Mainnet builds on the foundation established by Mainnet Beta, which launched in early December. During that initial rollout, Movement Network introduced key technical components such as:
Follower nodes – Allowing users to access network data without running a full node.
RPC nodes – Enabling applications to interact with the blockchain.
Indexers – Providing structured access to on-chain data.
Permissioned smart contracts – Allowing controlled testing and deployment.
Block explorer – Offering transparency into network activity.
These elements laid the groundwork for a functional ecosystem, ensuring developers could begin building within a structured framework before full permissionless deployment.
What Comes Next?
Following Developer Mainnet, Movement Network will enter the next phase: Public Mainnet Beta. This stage will expand access by allowing permissionless app deployment and onboarding of general users. While no official launch date has been provided, the Movement Network Foundation has indicated that Public Mainnet Beta will follow several weeks after Developer Mainnet.
