Zetachain is a cross-chain smart contract platform designed to enable seamless interoperability across different blockchains, including Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Cosmos-based networks. Unlike traditional Layer-1s, Zetachain provides a unified environment where developers can deploy cross-chain applications without requiring bridges or wrapped tokens.
The protocol uses a delegated proof-of-stake (dPoS) consensus mechanism, where validators secure the network and process transactions. By staking ZETA, users contribute to the network’s security and earn staking rewards. Zetachain’s architecture is built to support decentralized finance (DeFi), gaming, and enterprise solutions, making it a versatile blockchain for multi-chain development.

How to Stake Zetachain (ZETA) with Stakecito on Keplr
Staking ZETA tokens is a straightforward process using the Keplr wallet, which supports Cosmos SDK-based blockchains. Other wallets, such as Leap, can also be used. Follow this step-by-step guide to stake your ZETA, manage your portfolio, and claim your rewards.
1. Setting Up Keplr Wallet
First, ensure you have Keplr wallet installed and set up as well as some ZETA tokens in your wallet. If you’re new to Keplr, refer to the official Keplr tutorial for installation instructions.
2. Accessing the Staking Interface
To begin staking:
Open your Keplr wallet.
Click on “Manage Portfolio in Keplr Dashboard” or navigate to the Zetachain section within Keplr.
3. Choosing a Validator
In the staking interface, you’ll see a list of available validators on the Zetachain network.
Use the search bar or scroll through the list to find Stakecito’s validator.
Select Stakecito to delegate your ZETA tokens.
4. Staking Your ZETA
Once you’ve selected a validator:
Click the “Stake” button.
A confirmation dialog will appear—review the details carefully before confirming the transaction.
Click “Continue Staking”, then approve the transaction in Keplr.
You’ll receive a confirmation message indicating that your ZETA is now staked.
5. Managing Your Staking
After successfully staking your ZETA:
Your Keplr dashboard will update to display your staked balance and available rewards.
You can claim rewards, delegate additional ZETA, or unstake at any time from the same interface.
6. Claiming Rewards
Staking rewards accumulate over time and can be claimed directly in Keplr:
Navigate to the staking dashboard.
Click the “Claim” button to collect your rewards.
Ensure you have enough ZETA for transaction fees when claiming rewards.
